On Saturday, July 12th, 6 students and 2 adults from Faith United Church of God loaded up in a van to head toward San Antonio and the International Youth Convention. They embarked on 44 hours of total travel time in order to spend 3 1/2 days with other Youth worshiping, learning and having fun. They heard from great speakers and from some great bands. Some of the highlights were the concerts (Sactus Real and Starfield), the Prayer walk to the Alamo Dome, the fun nightlife around the River Walk and some trips to the "Mexican Market." It was truly a great bonding time for the entire group, and they returned home on Saturday, July 19th, around 8 pm with all accounted for.
Panoramic view from the balcony of the hotel where our group stayed. The hotel was right on the River Walk and had a great view of the Skyline.

1) Early in the trip in the van. Notice all those smiling faces. This wasn't always the case when you drive 22 hours!
2) Hanging out in the Convention Center lobby area - Austin, Tyler, Caleb, Ryan, Haley, Cole and Kristin.
3) A good view of the lobby of the Convention Center.
4) A little bit of the landscaping around the Convention Center/River Walk.

1) A sculpture at the Center of San Antonio; also a good view of the "Tower of Americas" in the background.
2) A picture of the River Walk from our hotel balcony. The boat is a tour boat for the River Walk.
3) Another view from our hotel balcony.
4) The Alamo Dome nearby the Convention Center. We had communion and worship there on our last night.
